Hilaria: Drawings

Combining ebony graphite pencil, and marker along with an incising tool and eraser, the drawings (9”x 12”) in Hilaria, came about in the spring of 2011.

A certain will to keep on living the tenuous joy, along with dark waves of fear and minute to minute uncertainty entered my life. In March a Tsunami devastated the low lying lands  of Japan, and broke Fukushima Nuclear power plant spreading radiation. Even closer to me, a young relative had serious open heart surgery.
